Ralph Frederick Kaiser, age 86, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife Marie and his eight children: Ann Pfeiffer, Susan (Larry) Peterfeso, Kurt (Colene), John (Carol), Karen (Edwin) Hessell, James (Susan), Paul (Traci) and Mark (Dawn) Kaiser; also survived by 28 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by daughter Lois and son-in-laws Dale White and Thomas Pfeiffer. Mr. Kaiser was a sod farmer, and was Fire Chief of Macomb Township Fire Department for 12 years. He was active in church, and enjoyed family, hunting and fishing, and collecting birds.

Visitation is Wednesday, 2 to 9 pm at the Lee-Ellena Funeral Home, 46530 Romeo Plank Road, Macomb.

Funeral service is Thursday at 11 am (instate at 10 am) St. Peter Lutheran Church of Macomb, 17051 24 Mile Road, Macomb.

FF/Paramedic Ryan Swick passed away last Sunday night at home, with his family at his side.  Ryan was only 33 years old and leaves behind his wife Laurie and his two daughters, Shelby age 3 and Shylei age 1.  Ryan had been battling cancer for many years and a week ago Sunday he had to go back into the hospital.  Unfortunately, he did not get better and was placed on Hospice.

Funeral arrangements for Ryan Swick are:

Visitation – Monday May 21, 2012 at Connection Church from 10:00 am – 11:30 am.

Service – immediately follows visitation at Connection Church 11:30 am.

The Family has asked in lieu of flowers to please make a donation to the Canton Firefighters Charity Foundation (C.F.F.C.F).

Fire Chief Gene Shepherd, age 56, of the Shelby Township Fire Department, passed away on May 14, 2012. Beloved husband of Lee Ann for 35 years. Dearest father of Robin (Michael) LaLonde and Amy Shepherd. Proud papa of Michael III, Morgan, Jacob, Caleb, Riley and Sean. Dear son of Alline and the late Thomas. Dear brother of Marvin (Donna). Visitation Saturday, 3-9 p.m. and Sunday, 1-9 p.m. at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., (Shelby Township) 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Road. Instate Monday, 10 a.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 17017 E. 12 Mile Road (Roseville) until service, 11 a.m. Interment Christian Memorial.
